The SharePoint workflow is used to create task properties: when to create fields and when to create depression properties?

I am new to SharePoint workflows.

When creating a new task and assigning TaskId, I have two options:

  • To create a new field for storing TaskId
  • To create a new property to store TaskId.

The new property is the dependency property.

My question is, what is the difference between assigning a task as a field or as a property?

Based on my (short) experience, WF DP can be useful in two cases:

  • . DP ( ).
  • / . , , .., .
