Ajax.microsoft.com vs. cookieless domain for cdn

If I'm right, every http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/jQuery/jquery-1.4.2.js request uses something like 3kb cookie microsoft.com. Do I not understand something, and it doesn’t matter, or is Microsoft wrong?

This is because there are a whole bunch of cookies for the microsoft.com domain, which, of course, will also be sent to requests for its subdomains. Microsoft is doing it wrong.

Google, on the other hand, uses a separate domain (googleapis.com) for its CDN, for which at least I have exactly zero cookies. I suggest you use the Google CDN instead.
