Google Chrome disables the screen bar

Since the last Google Chrome update, an on-screen bar has been displayed when checking an item. Does anyone know how to disable this ruler?

This is not possible at the moment.

You need to wait for Chrome 25 or use Canari.

Chrome 38 has a β€œSwitch device mode” button to the left of the developer tool menu items. When you click on it, a list of rulers and a list of device emulation will be displayed.

The Toggle Device Mode Button is the second from the left and highlights blue when active

Now it is called Device Mode . It allows you to select different screen sizes of the device, as well as emulate different network speeds.

You can enable / disable it by clicking the Phone Icon icon on the console.

Updating to the latest dev version fixed for me: http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/eula_dev.html?dl=mac

It started with me from the very beginning. I use the Chrome validation element for development on a personal computer that no one else uses.

This morning I had all the rulers and menus, as if from nowhere.

The above suggestions did nothing. When I got to the configuration control panel for rulers, I found that it was disabled.

I managed to return the old look by resetting the default settings in the same configuration menu in which the rulers checkbox was set. Hope someone stuck like me.

When you have an open editor open, just go to the settings by clicking on the icon (top right of the screen), there you will find a large button that says restore default values and restart . It worked for me. Good luck.

I am using Chrome Canary (version 45.0.2451.0 canary) and the presence of rulers seems to be related to whether emulation is enabled. Restoring default values (as indicated above) disables it, or you can just go to the box below and do it.
