I am trying to get second level cache using ehcache implementation.
I am sure this is the obvious noob mistake I am making, but I do not see what it is.
To check my cache, I do the following:
Create an object and save it. I “get” this once inside a transaction, where I see that I am returning an object without a dB hit, which is just the first level cache of the sleep mode that does its job.
Then I commit the transaction and start a new session.
This time, when I 'get' the object, I can see the cache miss from ehcache in the debuggers. I would expect the object to be in cache now, since I saved it in a previous transaction?
