Using GIT Smart HTTP over IIS

I recently read Scott Chacon’s “ Smart HTTP Transportpost , and I was hoping this would be possible through IIS (Windows 7) as this post was written. I could not find anything showing how this can be done, and Apache is not an option in my IIS 7-based environment. So, I'm at a loss (the git daemon was torn for me by a combination of AVG antivirus and AD).

I want to provide LDAP authenticated read / write access for selected users. Therefore, this question, apparently, is not relevant.

Do you know how to provide access to GIT through IIS?

I just created a project . It has an ASP.NET HttpHandler that follows what Grack does. Welcome to try.

Alternatively ... (non-IIS)

SCM Manager allows you to easily configure Git, Hg and SVN servers through HTTP / HTTPS as part of a separate Java process and have built-in authentication.
