Easy search engine for asp.net

Question

I am looking to develop a CMS project based on UMBRACO, but I also need to index the created documents and offer search functions, so I would like to know if you have any suggestion regarding an easy search engine available in .net technology. The basic requirement is to be simple and effective (nothing complicated like solr or sphinx).

If you only need to search for documents / nodes created in umbraco, you can use xsltsearch, maybe? This is a very simple deployment.

Take a look at System.Data.Sqlite, an ADO.Net wrapper around Sqlite. It is fully manageable, easy to deploy (single DLL) and includes Sqlite FT3's built-in search, so you can use SQL to search.
