When to use $ HTTP_POST_VARS ['field'] and $ _POST ['field']?

What is the difference in using $ HTTP_POST_VARS ['field'] and $ _POST ['field']? what is the difference?

$HTTP_POST_VARSis an old (deprecated since PHP4.1.0) way to access POST data . You never use it at this time unless you are working on an old deprecated application.
