Mercurial repo inside repo

Can I create a mercury repository inside an existing mercury repository?

The idea is to treat repository subdirectories as different repositories, how do you do it?

I'm not talking about subrepos (at least if I understood the purpose of subrepos ...), but if that’s the way subrepos exists, I realized that it’s wrong, and I will try to do everything right :)

Thanks ~ Aki

EDIT: to be more clear, I would like to know what is going on, the practices and consequences of having a repository inside another, without specifying / subrepos modules. In other words: what happens if I just do:

hg init globalRepo
hg init globalRepo/subRepo

and use these two as-are repositories?
