UCC certificate for linked sites only?

In the SSL certificate provider, I get the following message:

NOTE. The UCC certificate is ideal for communication servers, Exchange Server and other enterprise applications, as well as for individual companies or organizations with many associated URLs. This certificate is not recommended for use on sites that are completely separate from each other (for example, a network provider that creates websites for competitors).

I just don’t understand why.

Can someone tell a little light?
