Return to asp.net

Hi friends, this may seem awkward, but I'm new to asp dotnet for web development, so my question is genuine. Please explain to me what postback is in asp.net. I want this practical value and how it works in the life cycle of the page, but I understand that this is ispostBack, and I use it too.

But I do not get good value after the message, please explain it to me with a good example.

The wikipedia page Postbackhas the answers:

- - URL.

Historically, the web form will be placed on the next page, so the search form, for example, will be placed on the results page, and not back to the search form.

ASP.NET web forms rely heavily on postbacks to create an environment close to how a Windows form application works. Returning to the same page, it may have server events that seem to respond to actions in the browser. Pressing the button will cause a postback, and the browser will load the same page again, only with the changes caused by the click event.
