For the most part, jqGrid works great under "Safari Mobile" on the iPad and iPod Touch. However, I noticed that on these devices jqGrid will not display the scroll bar if there are more elements in the table than can be displayed on the page.
You can scroll with two fingers to scroll through the contents, however, since the scroll bar is not displayed, the user is not informed that more content is available. Therefore, they may not even know that they need to scroll. Do not forget that many mobile users will not know that you can perform two-finger scrolling.
I believe that there are two parts to my question -
- Firstly, does anyone have the opportunity to work with the scrolll panel?
- If not, can someone think of a good UI sign to warn the user that there is more data that they need to “scroll” to?
This issue is discussed on the jqGrid forums in Scrolling through the bandwidth on Safari Mobile , but without permission.
