Implement RDFa Content for Products

I'm knee-deep in a nightmare that is an implementation of RDFa for product information, and I'm curious if anyone there can provide some information.

Google flat out says it’s not hiding information just for the sake of providing data to machines, unless that’s information specific to machines. I could not find any information that you have empty elements to provide this data.

If you look at the GoodRelations RDFa generator for trading, you will get a mess of a nested div, which you are invited to put at the bottom of the page of your product. For example, I use one of my favorite sites:
