Reference: ZX81 BASIC "Peek" Function

I need a way to find if the character ('<') hit the wall (black pixel art)

-On the game ZX81.

I am looking at another game ... that uses code

if peek(peek 16398 +256*peek 16399) = code "**blackpixel graphic**" then ...

Which seems to work for them ...

Is this the correct code?

I donโ€™t know with the addresses and get the memory and stuff.

Please help me...

peekreads a byte in a memory location. According to the Sinclair ZX81 System Variables , the memory location 16398and 16399form a 16-bit value containing the current "PRINT Address" position in the displayed file. "
