If there should be anything else between the end </body> tag and the end </html> tag

Is there ever an instance in which something should (or maybe?) Fit between </body>and tags </html>? Or should they always be paired?

I read the HTML5 specification and it made me think about the basic structure of the page.

Are there any cases where something can / should be placed after the tag </html>? There used to be a gospel that documents began only with <html>, but <!doctype...>changed that. Will there ever be a reason for changing this document at the end of the document?

On the other hand, keep in mind that HTML, HEAD and BODY are implied, even if the tags do not exist, so the html document should not end with </html>.

Of course, browsers tend to guess what the author wants, rather than breaking inappropriate markup, so yes, you can expect people to post something afterwards </html>because it does what they want.
