How do I set a breakpoint in a module other than the one I'm running in Python IDLE?

If I edit two modules, the eggs and the ham, as well as the eggs of the modules, import ham, how can I run the eggs of the modules so that IDLE stops at the control points set in the ham? So far, I have managed to get IDLE to recognize breakpoints set in a really running module, and not imported.

  • start IDLE
  • open eggs, open ham
  • set the required breakpoints in both files
  • go to the IDLE shell, select Debug => Debugger
  • go back to the eggs and run.
