How much Java do you really need to use Hadoop and Mahout effectively?

I am a PHP developer . Let me just get rid of it. But Hadoop - and Mahout in particular - aroused my interest. I am ready to take a dip in Java to use them.

So, is there enough experience from people to know how much Java I need to be able to use them effectively? From what I saw, programmers / gearboxes don't take all this much. But with Maut, I'm not at all sure what I look when I look at the documentation.

Also , how difficult will it be to receive data from my PHP application for processing in Java through Hadoop and Mahout? I can’t imagine that it will be difficult, but I’m not experienced enough to say it.

Not everything is so difficult to get data from PHP to Java for analysis using Mahout and Hadoop.

It is even easier to handle using Mahout and Hadoop offline in batch mode and store data in a file system or database. PHP can then read these data products as easily as dumping a log.

Mahout -, PHP. Mahout .
