Is there a free spreadsheet or table management for Visual C ++ / VB.Net?

I wanted to build a simple little application that would allow me to create simple spreadsheets; just inputting data into the grid, possibly with a little basic font / cell / border formatting where possible.

In other words, I just want to tickle the equivalent of the Notepad spreadsheet.

Looking around, I can not find any information about the common spreadsheet control for VC ++ or VB. I saw several third-party controls, but I really don't want to spend $ 500 + on something just for my simple use.

Does anyone have suggestions or links to places where I can get information on how to create Excel-lite?

You can try SourceGrid , it's a free grid. He received many formatting / spreadsheet options, but does not contain a formula.

You might want to check out XmlSS .

Edit: this is more of a tricky part, trying to support most of what Excel does. If you do not need calculations, etc., grid control is much simpler.
