How to convert a WEP key to an ASCII passphrase?

Does anyone have a hex-> ascii method to change WEP encryption?

I have a WEP key (for example, F2: E8: 54: 22: F3), but I can’t remember my passphrase. I do not know much about the accuracy of a passphrase.

I found this site that has a Linux program that seems to work with the key values generated by this site (presumably the same WEP encryption mechanism), but unfortunately it does not work with the key that I have.

What I would like is Perl / C # solution if anyone has it.

What I understand:

  • I know there will be several ascii options since this is WEP (all the better to help me find my source code phrase)
  • I know that WPA / WPA2 is offered as the best alternative to WEP
  • I know that some routers have an http admin page (192.168.0.1), which may contain an Asya code phrase

Note:

  • I think you could say that these are the contrailers on this question , but this is different, since this question asks about authentication, while I am more interested in the WEP algorithm itself.

  • This is not for illegal hacker purposes. Obtaining a WEP key would be illegal, as this is what is used when accessing the WEP-related network. I am just asking how to convert this key to this English alternative. - It should also be noted that accessing another person’s network and using their resources without proper permission may be illegal.
