Album-only iPad doesn’t respond to taps at the bottom of the screen

I am an experienced developer, but relatively new to iOS.

I have some problems with the iPad App, where my views do not respond to button presses at the bottom of the screen. Touching other buttons works fine, so I know that my views connect properly when they are loaded (Ive created them in IB). I get the same behavior on both the simulator and the device.

This is a landscape-only app, and Im loads views using [NSBundle LoadNibNamed:]. This was the only non-trivial part of the application, and I think I jumped over all the suitable hoops:

  • Added initial interface orientation for my .plist
  • Developed my views on landscape orientation in IB
  • Added toAutoRotateToInterfaceOrientation in my top-level view that returns YES for landscape orientation.

The landscape orientation may not be connected, but I thought I should mention this, as this was the only thing I found a little uncomfortable, and I see from the boards that other people also found this problem.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank.

It turns out that my view frames were set to full screen, but the frame was not. By explicitly setting the frame, I was able to get this to work.
