What is the best way to store data like Favorites in an Android app?

I am developing an Android application where you can browse restaurants.

I get information about restaurants from the service, they are not stored locally on the device. But I want the user to be able to add the restaurant to their favorites.

What is the best way to store information on a device? Should I use Shared Preferences or Sqlite db? Or any other suggestions?
