How to make blur event appear in JavaScript?

Question

Here is what I want to do. I want to fire an event every time the select element changes. I have a multi-line selection, and when I make changes (click on the elements), it does not change until the selection field loses focus. So I try to blur every time the select button is pressed. That way, if it changes, it will trigger an event change. If this does not change, nothing will happen.

How should I do it? Am I even approaching this correctly? JQuery answers are also fine.

Well, that’s what happened. I included the -vsdoc version of jQuery instead of the real jQuery library. It also fixes some issues that I have encountered with some plugins like blockUI.
