Is there a way to show the iPad Simulator fullscreen?

Does anyone know if there is any way (Applescript, secret .plist defaults setting ...) for viewing the iPad simulator window in full screen (or without margins)? It would be very convenient to show it on a second 1024x768 display at native resolution. A simulator of vertical size, when the portrait is too tall even for a full-screen monitor ... the border is too thick, and the window cannot move overshot above the top edge.

Maybe this will help? https://plus.google.com/u/0/115321914207029284487/posts/gcqBJej1g4R

I think you can edit frame.png to make the border even smaller. Perhaps even nonexistent.

  • Copy the Info.plist file, which is located in /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/Applications/iPhone Simulator.app/Contents/Resources/Devices/iPad.deviceinfo to your desktop. This folder is write-protected and even with the root turned on, it gives xcode if you try to edit it here.

  • Double-click the file and edit the plist in Xcode, change the width variable to 1000 and the height variable to 1800. (I run this at 1366x768 and these settings worked. Tweak if you need to) Save This.

  • plist . . .

  • ios.
