Installer containing the GPL binary

I have a closed source application that calls an unmodified GPL file from the command line. I need to distribute the GPL binary with my application. Can I include it in the installer while keeping the application closed and complying with the terms of the GPL? Or do I need another distribution method for binary?

Yes, you can distribute the GPL binary.

You should probably mention somewhere in your license or help that the binary is GPLed and where to get it from. If you have not modified it, you do not need to specify the source.
