Why did the CMS (parallel failure) happen here?

The old generation looks like: 331336K-> 71676K (786432K)

Parallel mode error , as determined

The message “failure in parallel mode” means that the collection of the accumulated generation did not finish before the lease generation became complete.

In other words, the new generation fills up too quickly, it overflows with the generation, but the CMS cannot clear the generation of generations in the background.

In your case, at 945270.397

ParNew: 225163K->225163K(235968K) indicates that Young was full and could not clear objects at all.
