Why is my CSS sometimes "sometimes"

My site is behaving strangely. The markup is sometimes beautiful, and sometimes screw. An example of the page on which I see the problem is this: link

Disclaimer: I have yet to start a serious investigation. I turn to Stackoverflow because I am lazy, and I hope someone says: "It happened to me once, maybe this ...". Therefore, please, no one is stuck in this solution to this problem, if this is something that you have never seen before, because it would be unfair, since I did not do it myself.

Ok, some background:

  • Usually the problem (probably always) occurs when you first view the page
  • The problem does not always appear, only sometimes
  • When a page is displayed in manual mode, if you refresh it, it usually reloads as it should
  • Site is an application for rails.
  • css is passed through a neat Smurf Gem that automatically minimizes CSS and Javascript on the page.
  • Layout problems occur in firefox (both linux and winXP)
  • CSS is loaded in the working environment using the option :: cache => true, which combines all css files into one file

In any case, I hope this has happened to someone earlier, and it will be very easy to fix. If not, I will go and research and return with a solution (or requesting additional help).

Thanks in advance!

James.
