Soft Input Panel Display (SIP) on WP7 programmatically

How can I programmatically display a soft input panel (SIP) / keyboard through code. (I do not have a text box on which I can point to InputScope).

From Jeff Blankenburg 31 Day Windows Phone 7 :

Sometimes you want to get keyboard input from your user, even if you don't want to represent them using the actual TextBox. There are probably many ways around this, but Ive used a convenient, easy to achieve. (If for any reason you are looking for a Hangman game. I do not want the keyboard to always be visible, but I also do not want the TextBox on the screen.)
