A way to listen at all Apple events?

I'm looking for a way to listen to all Apple events sent by any program to any other program. There was an application, AEMonitor, that used this, but it remains unchanged at the moment.

Is there a known way to do this through cocoa, carbon, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
