In Eclipse, hide files ending in the tilde `~`

Eclipse by default hides the files that start with .in the Package Explorer, Navigator and other types of files (eg .classpath, .settingsetc.). Is it possible to hide files ending in ~(for example, somefile.txt~).

There should be an icon in the toolbar of the package explorer that displays a drop-down menu; in this menu, select "Filters ...".
