Since I added the installation location to the manifest (tried both auto and preferExternal) and made my update available on the market, I got some users who can’t install the application on their (so far only HTC Desire with Froyo) devices, is there any is there a known problem? Or is a working solution better?
I also got the following workaround from the user. Disconnect the SD card, install the application, and mount the SD card again, having successfully completed the installation.
