How to set up custom icon for dll file?

Question

I tried: Project Properties > Application > Icon and Manifestand browsing the file .ico. The icon appears to the right of the field after loading it, but when I create my library, the icon still remains only by default.

. Can i embed an icon in my library and use it for the dll file itself?

You cannot, because windows are not looking for icons in the dll. It is just made for exes.
