Delphi vs C # and WPF for a new project?

Do you consider Delphi 2010 / XE to develop a new Windows desktop or do you think it is dead with the current state of .Net and Microsoft (WPF) products?

If you / will not use it, please explain why.

I agree that the initial question is a little argued. However, this is a serious matter. I am based in Australia and I have not seen many resumes of developers that contain recent delphi experience, so when I say "dead" I just wonder if this is a bad choice because there is a reduction in the number of people working with it.
