Saving the program image in tricks

I heard that most lisps support saving the program launch image to a file. Does this help guile?

I think that interacting with other languages is quite inseparable from what Guile is, and therefore there are many states in the interpreter image that are opaque to Guile itself. I know that Guile works best with it, as a schema interpreter built into gEDA, so you can imagine that you need to save not only all CONSes, but also all X-windows that gschem can open? It is simply impossible to make reliably from within Guile. (And I'm not sure it would be nice to implement save-image-to-file even in "limited" cases.)
