Android Offline Webapp Resources

I just made a standalone webapp card game for iPhone and Android. When I did this, I completely disconnected from the plentiful iPhone information on the Internet on the Internet. However, it seems to work fine on Android with one exception. When I open it after killing the web connection, it indicates an error related to the inability to connect. After the cancellation, it works fine.

My question is this: did anyone find some decent resources specifically for offline Android web applications? Or is it just a hack? It seems that iOS devices support this in a more intuitive way.

UPDATE: I forgot about this issue that I talked about. It seems to have been allowed for a while. I think this may have been fixed in Android 2.1. I just did not notice that there was no error message. However, it still does not launch HTML 5 webapps in the same way as iOS, since the navigation bar is still present when launched from bookmarks on the desktop.

After messing up this stuff a bit, the iPhone / iOS seems to be working fine. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the android browser is based on a webkit. But for some reason, the file manifest is being respected
