Windows Phone 7 Settings

I noticed that the Phone 7 Beta emulator has a settings app. It contains a panel of "applications". This, apparently, implies that we should write settings plugins so that the settings for all applications are controlled centrally, similar to how the iPhone settings work.

Does anyone know how we write / register these plugins? Or if I am completely mistaken?

Thank!

All settings and settings for any application you create must be controlled from this application.
This is different from the iPhone, where settings and configuration are considered separate and must be managed in different places.
The Settings application of the application on the device / emulator contains the system settings and what it calls the β€œapplication”. What is called appletine settings is really related to the hub settings (plus IE and Search).

From the Interface Design and Interaction Guide for Windows Phone 7 Version 2.0 (p. 66 - System and System Application Settings)

"Application settings should be implemented in the application itself."
