Using UIApplicationDidFinishLaunchingNotification

Dispatched immediately after the application launches.

This is what Apple claims. But I do not see how the object can receive this notification. He would have to add himself as an observer, but the earliest thing he could do was a method application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:. At this point, the notice is already published. Am I not seeing any benefit to this notice, or am I not noticing something?
