How do you specify git urls with spaces in windows under cygwin?

If I have a git repository in cygwin with the name of the form directory / cygdrive / c / Documents and Settings / user / My Documents / My Dropbox / xxxxx, how do I create a file: URL for git that links to this repository?

I don’t have a Windows computer to test it, but you should be able to quote all the way with double quotes or avoid all backslash spaces one at a time.

If this does not work, try making a symbolic link that has no spaces, and a link to the symbolic link from git.
