Fixed position does not work on ipad

Question

We have developed a small control that should always be at the bottom of the screen on our website. However, when I browse the site on the ipad, the control does not stick to the bottom, it floats in the middle.

What is the deal with a fixed position on the ipad? Is it impossible?

Does ipad use safari mobile?
