Where can I get the default Android arrow graphics for MapView?

I use a custom overlay on my MapView, and I'm trying to mimic the look of the official Google Maps app when using GPS, and as a result I'm looking for the arrow that the app uses to show your bearing.

The closest I found this one , but it is too large, its not an animated GIF as official, and I'm not sure if I am allowed to use it or not.

Edit: just found out that this is completely useless because I forgot (obviously) that gifs don't have an alpha transparent layer.

Has anyone had to use this before? Can I force myself to do?

You can look in the MyTracks project: http://code.google.com/p/mytracks

Here are the arrow arrows: http://code.google.com/p/mytracks/source/browse/#hg/MyTracks/res/drawable Is this what you are looking for? (Click the arrow, then Show Raw File)

Not sure which arrow you are looking for, however, if you look in your Android SDK folder and you have 2.2 installed, the \ android-8 \ data \ res \ drawable-mdpi \ platforms contain compass_arrow.png and compass_base.png. Can they work?
