GWT reception mode is very slow

We have problems with the GWT layout mode in Eclipse Ganymede (Windwos XP 3GB RAM). When we run our application in host mode, it takes a very long time, and transactions after launching the application take minutes. It seems like a lot of time is required between Javascript and the server.

During this time, the processor almost does not load. Even compiling and starting from an external browser does not help.

The strange thing is that we have two more computers (one Windows XP one Linux) with fine tuning, in which the hosting mode works at normal speed without any problems for the same application.

  • Windows ?
  • Is this a specific database query that takes a lot of time after starting the application, or is it all slower?
  • Are project files a local file system?
  • Is the database a local file system?
    • If so, is the data size the same as other machines?
    • If not, are they on different subnets or have different bandwidth?
