How to stop wifi scan on Android?

Is it possible to stop the wifi scan started with wifiMgr.startScan ()? I look through some posts and read about using a thread to give intervals between each delivery of the result. But if I want to completely stop the process, how can I achieve it?

I found the answer a few days ago. Just unregister the recipient. I do not know if this is the best way, but it works.

I found abortBroadcast (); work. The strange thing is that I did not have to stop it first, since it only started once when I called startscan.
