Notifications and email alerts from builds in TFS 2010
I'm having trouble getting team alerts to work in TFS 2010.
In the "Team> Project Alerts" section, I checked the box to send me and my colleague an email about the completed assembly. I know that I entered the correct email addresses, the correct syntax to separate emails, but neither I nor my colleague receive any emails when the assembly is complete.
So far, I have not found anything on the Internet to fix this problem. I was wondering if someone ran into the same problem or was otherwise aware of a solution to this problem.
This usually comes down to a configuration problem in setting up TFS.
If you have access to the tfs server, start the TFS administration console.
If you click on TFS / Application Tier on the left, you will see the application level settings. Scroll to email settings.
Make sure it is turned on and configured correctly to send messages.
