I am trying to run Wireshark on Mac OS X in the background. I installed the command line utilities and so I can run wirehark and capture the package using the command line. The only thing I want now is to run it in the background, without even having the X11 icon on the taskbar and not seeing the wires window. I believe this is possible, but cannot find anything in the Wireshark document.
Perhaps another way would be to find a trick to hide the icon in Mac OS X ...
If someone has already done this or has an idea ...
