I chatted with PHP and MySQL for a while, and the book I'm talking about suggested downloading the PHP editor (IDE) for better programming.
For starters, several free editors were offered, all three are listed here:
They all look pretty good, but I would appreciate it if you could quickly suggest your best tool out of these three or any other PHP tools you're used to.

If you are simply editing a simple project, such as a building theme for wordpress, you can use notepadd ++. Notepadd ++ also has a plugin for code completion, ftp and subversion.
I suggest Eclipse for PHP
or dreamweaver
jEdit is a text editor for cross-platform and free software. This is not an IDE, and I don't think a beginner should use an IDE anyway.
