View local storage contents in IE

How can I view the contents of local HTML5 storage in IE? Chrome and FireFox provide tools through their tools for viewing the contents of the local storage, but I could not find this information using the IE9 developer tool.

Since localStorage is a global object, you can add hours to dev tools. Just go into dev tools, go to "watch", click "Click to Add ..." and enter "localStorage".

In IE11, you can see the local storage in the console on dev tools

 1.show dev tools (press F12)
 2. click console or press Ctrl + 2
 3. type localStorage and enter.

Also, if you need to clear localStorage. type localStorage.clear () in the console.

IE 11 / Edge now has a better interface for storing / storing session and cookies locally:

  • Open Dev Tools (F12)
  • Go to the Debugger tab
  • Click the folder icon to display a list of resources - opens on a separate tab
