Wordpress url shows page not found on localhost, but its fine online

Question

I installed wordpress, now http: //localhost/wp-login.php , and everything is fine. Assuming I want to go to a page such as http: // localhost / something-here / , I gave error 404. This 404 error only occurs on the local host and not on the real server.

What is the reason for this.

Try cleaning your urls: go to Settings → Permalinks → Update.
