I am new to Windows Azure and want to host a survey application that will be populated approx. 30,000 users.
The application consists of a 1.aspx page, which will be sent to the client once, asks for 25 questions and gives the end of the answers at the end. When the user gave an answer and clicked the “Next Question” button, this answer will be sent using the .ashx handler to the server. The answer is the following question and answers. After completion of the full postback, the client is sent to the client. The response is stored in an Azure table, which is partitioned so that each partition can contain a maximum of 450 users.
I would like to ask if someone can give an approximate idea of how many instances of the web role we need to run so that this application continues to work. (If it is too difficult to say, is it possible that he will start 5, 50 or 500 copies?)
What is the best way: 20 small copies or 5 large copies?
