Stop PostgreSQL Log Files From Disk Full

I am running PostgreSQL 8.4 on an Ubuntu server. I realized that there is no space on my disk because the log file has become too large. Can I customize what is written to the log file?

Change /etc/postgresql/8.4/main/postgresql.confand change or disable various options log_*. Then reload postgresql.

You can also check what is written to the logs. By default, there should not be so many entries. Perhaps your application throws a lot of errors, and this is what fills your hard drives.
