I store dates and times in my CoreData repository and should accurately represent to users the time that was originally entered. The problem is that if they travel at 4:00 on the east coast, then later look at the recorded time on the West coast, it will appear as 1:00, as the iPhone translates universal times into local time. I need it to show 4:00 - maybe 4:00 (+ 3 hours).
Before I go over and restructure the Core Data model, I want to make sure that there is no way to get the NSTimeZone that was active at the time of creating from the saved NSDate. Here? If not, any recommendation, what is the best way to capture NSTimeZone during creation by yourself? An NSNumber representing the time difference NSTimeZone of creation time from GMT?
Thank.
