I started developing several Android apps and would like to know if I should get an Android Developer Phone . What if I get a regular Android phone? Does Android Dev Phone support any benefits besides Android custom builds? In addition, I also read somewhere that Dev Phone "does not use signed system images", what would it mean and is this a showstopper limitation?
Thanks for your time with this question.

I would even say that NexusOne is a bad choice, because most likely the only owners are the developers and several uber nerds who wanted to unlock the phone. Get a popular phone. It is too expensive to own all the popular phones, but at least you have one that is in the wild and will give you an idea of what a real experience is in your application.
