I have an iPhone app in the App Store. I posted 1.1 to the app store a few days ago and selected "Hold for Developer Release". I found out that there is a very serious error in the approved version. I need to pull this binary.
From what I can say, Apple does not support this. I sent them an email, but there is another error in the current version, which also needs to be fixed, so time makes sense.
I heard that you can post the update in some random country (where I did not have sales), and then release the next (corrected) update in all countries. If I release only 1.1, say in Luxembourg, is this an old version (1.0) pulled from other stores? Are chart ratings reset? I am pretty high in charts, and I don't want to lose the momentum that the application currently has.
Until Apple abandons approved binaries, I'm looking for the fastest alternative.
